Gas – Series 3 Polyethylene (PE) Pipe 10-200 mm ID

In the North Island the majority of natural gas is reticulated to homes through Series 3 Nominal ID (imperial sized) polyethylene pipes.

Pipes are coloured yellow outside for identification as gas and are made from PE80 (Medium Density Polyethylene – MDPE) in SDR11 (different SDR pipe and PE100 pipe – to special request).

Series 3 gas pipe is manufactured and licensed to AS/NZS 4130 (Bureau Veritas S Mark Licence No 2729)
